Ukulele Journey in

Hawai´i. Come strum along at the Waikoloa Ukulele Festival, showcasing Hawai‘is favorite instrument             

and music. Enjoy the Honolulu Festival on O‘ahu, Hawai‘is premier cultural event.  Along the way, we’ll explore and have an amazing adventure

Waikoloa, Big Island for 2 nights, Hilo for 2 nights,

March 6  (Day 1): Arrive at Kona International Airport (KOA). Shuttle Service from airport to Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

March 7  (Day 2):  Brief  Orientation after breakfast. On your own to enjoy the Waikoloa  ‘Ukulele Festival  – a short walk from the Resort (B)

 

March 8  (Day 3): Visit Honualoa  ‘Ukulele Gallery. Lunch at the Rim Restaurant - Historic  Volcano House and visit to the Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park. Dinner with ‘ukulele “Talk Story” at the Hilo Hawai‘ian Hotel (B,L,D)

 

March 9  (Day 4) Visit Hawai‘ian Legacy Hardwoods - Koa Forest Tour. Stroll the Historic Hilo town and check out the Hilo ‘Ukulele & Guitar Store on your own (B)

 

March 10  (Day 5): Check out of the Hilo Hawai‘ian Hotel for airport departure, flight from Hilo to O‘ahu. Lunch at a local restaurant with visit to Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona Memorial. Check in at the Waikīkī Resort Hotel (B,L)

March 11 (Day 6): Morning Workshop with Bruce Shimabukuro (tba). After lunch meet a  local ‘Ukulele Rising Star. In the evening check out a local ‘ukulele musician playing in Waikīkī (Optional Lū‘au dinner & show for a fee) (B)

 

March 12 (Day 7): Morning visit to ‘Iolani Palace for Hawai‘ian culture and history. After lunch visit the ‘Ukulele Site’s newest store in Honolulu. In the evening check out a local ‘ukulele musician     playing in Waikīkī  (Optional Lū‘au dinner & show for a fee) (B)

March 13 (Day 8):  Morning Workshop with Roy Sakuma. Farewell Dinner with Evening ‘Ukulele Kanikapila (B,D)

 

March 14 (Day 9): Honolulu Festival Activities.  Check out of hotel.  Transfers provided to Honolulu Airport for return flight home (B)
